West Lancs Triathlon is a pool-based triathlon held at Edge Hill University,
specifically designed as a welcoming introduction to the sport and marked as #MyFirstTri.
Perfect for newer triathletes and those seeking a predictable, supportive racing
experience. The course features a 400m pool swim in a 25m pool, a mostly flat 21.5km
bike route, and a 5km run. Multiple event formats available including sprint and
standard distance options for triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, and aquabike. The
Spring edition (April) offers milder conditions and shorter distances, while Summer
(August) provides a longer challenge. Strong club participation and community atmosphere
